The Team

Our Java Developers design, code, test, troubleshoot, and maintain the Java applications that power our trading platforms and tools. The team collaborates on various aspects of software development, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance of Java-based applications.

The Role

As a member of our Software Engineering Group, we are looking for someone with a passion for solving business problems through innovation and sound engineering practices. We seek a candidate with strong experience in React JS, TypeScript, and React Native. Full-stack experience is a plus. An interest in trading and financial services is preferred, as you will be working on our web and mobile platforms for real-time trading and portfolio management services.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze requirements and refer to features in existing applications to implement in web and mobile platforms.
• Develop medium-to-high complexity enterprise-level UIs using React, React Native, TypeScript, and HTML5.
• Create or enhance REST APIs and implement business rules for front-end consumption as needed.
• Follow a Test Driven Development (TDD) approach.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating user queries and problems, suggesting and researching alternative technologies as appropriate.
• Collaborate within the team and mentor junior developers.

What You’ll Need

• 5 to 8 years of experience in JavaScript (ES6), React JS (min v16.14), Node.js (min v18), React Native (min v0.7), and TypeScript (min v5.0.0).
• Solid understanding of best programming practices, OOP principles, and functional programming concepts.
• Experience with Core Java (min JDK 8), Spring/Spring Boot framework, and Spring Data JPA is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of standard React best practices and design patterns.
• Good understanding of RESTful architecture.
• Proficient in version control using Git and Bitbucket.
• Experience in the finance domain or product industry is a plus.
