These customers face limited access to essential financial products like unsecured loans, MSME loans, credit cards, affordable housing loans, insurance, and investment products. WeRize addresses these gaps with tailored financial products designed to match their needs, purchasing power, and financial security requirements.

Our innovative approach integrates a 'Finance ki online dukaan'—a unique social distribution tech platform that combines digital and personal support. By leveraging financially literate freelancers in over 5000 towns, WeRize ensures low customer acquisition and operational costs compared to fully digital or traditional on-field approaches. This model enables us to provide affordable and accessible financial services effectively.

About the Team:

The Data Science team at WeRize is integral to our strategic decision-making. This team tackles business problems across the organization to drive growth, manage risk, and optimize operations. Examples of our work include:

• Reducing credit loss in specific segments.
• Evaluating the feasibility of offering credit to certain customer segments.
• Enhancing collections efficiency through remote channels.
• Improving funnel conversion rates.

Role Description:

As a Data Scientist at WeRize, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our credit, business, and collections strategies through data-driven insights. You will collaborate closely with the team to develop and implement analytics-driven strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and analyze business challenges and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop hypotheses, frameworks for tests, and analyze data to provide actionable recommendations.

Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and SQL for coding and query development.
• Execution: Ability to adapt to changing requirements and deliver actionable insights in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical Orientation: Strong logical, analytical, and reasoning skills with the ability to form relevant hypotheses and perform rigorous quantitative analysis.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience: 1 to 3 years in a similar role.
• Education: Graduate or Postgraduate in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Operations Research.
• Experience: Relevant work experience in Business, Risk, Collections, or Data Analytics within similar companies.
