Join Intel’s Wi-Fi India Development Group (IDG) to work on state-of-the-art Wi-Fi software development aligned with IEEE 802.11 standards. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, debugging, and maintaining Wi-Fi drivers and firmware for Intel’s latest generation of wireless silicon.
Design, develop, and maintain Wi-Fi software solutions across Linux Driver, Windows Driver, and Firmware platforms.
Translate high-level system requirements into low-level design, code implementation, and testing.
Perform debugging and validation both on target hardware and host platforms.
Develop and execute test cases to ensure stability and performance of Wi-Fi solutions.
Collaborate with system engineers, architects, and customers to meet product requirements.
Contribute to software development best practices, legacy code optimization, and overall solution stability.
Engage in continuous learning and contribute to the advancement of upcoming Wi-Fi technologies.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in embedded C programming for software engineering or related roles.
Strong understanding of IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi) protocols and specifications.
Proven experience with Wi-Fi software development in Linux Driver, Windows Driver, or Firmware areas.
Proficiency in Python programming for automation or testing tasks.
Capability to analyze and implement low-level designs based on system requirements.
Familiarity with software development environments and tools like Git and Gerrit.
Excellent debugging skills and understanding of embedded development workflows.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in global teams.
Fast learner with a proactive attitude and adaptability in a dynamic wireless development ecosystem.
Strong ownership and responsibility in driving assigned features to completion.
Experience with cross-platform development and hardware-software co-validation.
Ability to work under minimal supervision with strong accountability.
Willingness to learn new protocols and quickly adapt to changing technologies.
