We are looking for a highly skilled VMware L3 Administrator with specialized experience in VMware vSAN and Azure VMware Solution (AVS). This role is key to managing, optimizing, and scaling our virtualization infrastructure while ensuring compliance, performance, and disaster recovery preparedness. The position also involves L2-level Windows Server and VMware implementation responsibilities.
Design, configure, and manage VMware vSphere, vSAN, and AVS environments for high performance and availability.
Provide L3-level troubleshooting, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes for VMware-related issues.
Optimize configurations involving hardware, networking, and storage for maximum efficiency.
Lead patching, upgrades, and system changes with zero/low business impact.
Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity frameworks.
Validate deployments using vSphere Lifecycle Manager and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Assist in Windows Server deployments, patching, and system updates.
Support L2-level troubleshooting and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
Participate in implementation and integration of Windows and VMware solutions.
Maintain documentation for system configurations, patches, and performance tuning.
Support change management processes with necessary approvals and rollback planning.
Ensure adherence to SLAs for operational performance and change implementation.
Avoid unauthorized changes by strictly following governance guidelines.
Respond to customer issues and feedback promptly and professionally.
Support knowledge management by documenting learnings and reusable artifacts.
Identify risks in projects and propose actionable mitigation plans.
Deep expertise in VMware vSphere, vSAN, and Azure VMware Solution (AVS).
Solid experience in Windows Server administration (installation, configuration, troubleshooting).
Hands-on knowledge of disaster recovery planning and execution.
Experience with hardware sizing, network design, and storage optimization.
Proficiency in vSphere Lifecycle Manager and VMware compliance best practices.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Computer Science / IT (B.E. / B.Tech / MCA)
