Senior AEM Architect – Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Develop digital consumer experiences using Adobe Marketing Cloud products, including AEM 6.5 and above.
Architect global web content management and customer engagement platforms with integrated tools like AEM, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Campaign, and others.
Deliver advanced features such as multi-site/multi-channel publishing, personalization, multilingual support, and automated workflows.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in AEM implementations.
Engage directly with clients to define end-to-end solution architecture and specifications.
Provide architectural guidance to development teams for scalable implementation.
Define design/development standards, quality gates, and best practices.
Ensure performance optimization, robust security, and scalability across digital platforms.
Lead large-scale teams (20+ members) across full SDLC phases using Agile methodology.
Oversee planning, estimation, and delivery of Adobe projects across front-end, backend, QA, and PM tracks.
Experience Guidelines
Minimum of 15 years’ overall experience with at least 8+ years in AEM and Adobe Marketing Cloud tools.
In-depth architectural experience with AEM, including Maven, OSGi, Sling, Sightly (HTL), Oak, and Dispatcher.
Implementation experience with enterprise search tools like Solr, Lucene, or GSA.
Strong Java/JEE foundation including Servlets, JSP, JSTL, and Tag Libraries.
Expertise in AEM performance/security testing including load models and OWASP standards.
Hands-on experience with integrations such as Salesforce, SSO, LDAP, REST, and SOAP APIs.
Ability to discuss and guide frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, Bootstrap, Backbone.js, and modern HTML/CSS/JS libraries.
Strong infrastructure understanding including ELB, Apache setup, CDN, Disaster Recovery, and AEM instance sizing.
Experience with system quality concerns like SEO, Accessibility (A, AA, AAA), monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Zabbix), and performance tuning.
Familiarity with DevOps and quality pipelines including CI/CD (Jenkins/Bamboo), SonarQube, code review automation, and testing strategies.
Senior AEM Developer – Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Work hands-on with AEM 6.5 and Adobe Marketing Cloud components in a full development role.
Create AEM components, templates, workflows, and OSGi modules using JSP and HTL.
Build Maven archetypes and lazybones templates for project standardization.
Develop frontend using advanced JS and CSS frameworks; integrate with AEM backend services.
Translate functional and technical requirements into design documents and component diagrams.
Implement scalable and reusable AEM components and enforce development best practices.
Maintain high availability, performance, and quality of solutions.
Promote coding standards, reusability, test coverage (JUnit), and extensibility.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership within the team.
Develop, manage, and test Adobe DAM implementations and Java API object models.
Experience Guidelines
3–6 years of total experience with a minimum of 3+ years in AEM-based development.
Worked on at least 4 full AEM projects developing templates, components, Sling servlets, and services.
