Role Overview:
Barclays is seeking an Axiom Developer to join its Risk, Finance and Treasury team. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions across the regulatory reporting landscape. The position involves developing reports using AxiomSL, maintaining Oracle-based data solutions, and collaborating with business and technology teams to ensure smooth delivery aligned with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain reports using the AxiomSL platform for regulatory compliance.
Design efficient SQL and PL/SQL logic for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Ensure systems integration and data flow across platforms is consistent and meets business needs.
Participate in the full SDLC using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Write detailed documentation, perform code reviews, and conduct system testing.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement timely resolutions.
Technical Requirements:
Proficient in AxiomSL regulatory reporting tool.
Strong knowledge of Oracle 19c, SQL, and PL/SQL.
Solid understanding of financial concepts related to balance sheets, income statements, and risk reports.
Familiarity with UNIX commands, Autosys, and job scheduling.
Exposure to DevOps tools, cloud technologies (e.g., AWS), and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in banks or financial institutions, particularly in regulatory reporting environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual and global team setup.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to multitask under pressure.
