As a DevOps Engineer at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in modernizing and automating infrastructure deployments, streamlining release management, and driving the reliability of cloud-native solutions. Your work will directly support the delivery of business-critical projects aligned with strategic location and platform goals.
Provide technical and application support to ensure consistent system availability and performance.
Manage release, deployment, and change workflows in alignment with ITIL principles.
Work extensively with AWS cloud infrastructure, focusing on scalability, monitoring, and security.
Implement and maintain automation tools such as Terraform and Chef for provisioning and configuration management.
Administer and troubleshoot across UNIX/Linux/Windows environments to support applications and pipelines.
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver solutions that meet technical requirements and operational standards.
Participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis to drive service improvements.
Support secure data flows and integrations with internal and external APIs.
Hands-on experience in application support or technical support roles
Solid understanding of ITIL-based release, deployment, and change management
Good knowledge of Linux/Unix/Windows operating systems
Working experience with AWS services and architecture
Familiarity with Terraform, Chef, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools
Deep exposure to DevOps practices in agile project environments
Practical experience with shell scripting, log analysis, and cloud infrastructure optimization
Strong analytical mindset and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Working knowledge of CI/CD tools, monitoring platforms, and incident tracking systems
