Role Overview:
As a DevOps Software Engineer at Barclays, you will lead infrastructure automation, CI/CD integration, and secure delivery pipelines for modern applications. You’ll collaborate with engineering teams to optimize build and deployment processes, ensuring fast, reliable, and secure software releases in a high-stakes digital banking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and Stash.
Automate infrastructure and deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, CHEF, and Ansible.
Ensure secure delivery practices through tools like Veracode, Prisma, and SonarQube.
Work with OAuth2/OpenID for secure API authentication and access control.
Manage Apache and JBoss server configurations, along with DNS certificate provisioning.
Analyze and optimize logs using ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
Integrate and monitor applications via AppDynamics for APM.
Develop and maintain RESTful web services and support Spring-based frameworks.
Collaborate across teams using JIRA, Confluence, and Agile development processes.
Maintain database performance and operations using Microsoft SQL Server.
