Java Tech Lead – Barclays (Pune)

Role Summary
Step into the role of Java Tech Lead at Barclays. You will be responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure platforms and products that support business-critical applications and data systems. Your primary goal will be to ensure system reliability, availability, scalability, and security through software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response.
Experience & Skills Required
Hands-on experience with HP/Micro Focus/OpenText PPM, preferably in the finance domain.
Engineering skills with a strong interest in developing world-class engineering solutions.
Ability to design, develop, and customize workflows, portlets, and reports in OpenText PPM.
Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, Java, JSP, JavaScript, and REST Web Services.
Proven experience with DevOps tools like GitLab or GitHub.
Deep understanding of the PPM data model and functional modules.
Ability to implement engineering best practices consistently.
Additional Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Certification in OpenText PPM is a plus.
Experience with RedHat Linux, API Integrations, and Observability platforms like ELK.
Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting methods.
