Overview:
ISS STOXX is seeking a Jr. Data Analyst to join our Global Data Operations team based in Mumbai. This role is an excellent opportunity for fresh postgraduates in Finance or Economics to gain valuable experience and contribute to a global team. The Jr. Data Analyst will help deliver critical data and research within assigned markets across various key areas, including company data, compensation, and pay-related metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Search for, collect, and verify basic and intermediate data for companies within the assigned market using current methodologies and sources.
- Address internal/client queries and requests to ensure the captured data aligns with established data methodology and policy guidelines.
- Ensure data quality by complying with work process standards.
- Meet pre-determined turn-around goals for work assignments.
- Escalate data interpretation issues and perform root-cause analysis when required.
- Update internal documents and monitor performance metrics.
- Participate in committees, projects, and tasks outside of core responsibilities.
- Maintain appropriate paper and electronic files as per company policies.
Qualifications:
- Mandatory: Post-graduate degree in Finance or Economics (Fresh postgraduates encouraged to apply).
- Knowledge and experience in MS Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines.
- Fast learner with a willingness to work beyond traditional working hours/days when necessary.
- Experience in data collection and analysis, corporate governance, or business research is an advantage.
