Role Overview:
As a Senior Developer at Barclays, you will lead the development of secure and scalable software solutions.
You will work across all stages of the development lifecycle to improve customer experience and meet business goals.
You will also mentor junior developers and help establish engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop software using Microsoft .Net, C#, ASP.Net MVC, Web API, and DotNet Core.
Build and integrate RESTful services and backend APIs.
Create user interfaces using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.
Design and manage relational databases, including stored procedures and SSIS.
Apply object-oriented analysis, design patterns, and software development best practices.
Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning and retrospectives.
Integrate automated tests and CI/CD pipelines into the workflow.
Mentor junior developers and review their code to maintain high standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
Write clean, secure, and testable code aligned with enterprise standards.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to meet business objectives.
Lead technical discussions and support team-wide alignment.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Technical Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in .Net development.
Expertise in C#, ASP.Net MVC, DotNet Core, and RESTful API development.
Proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, stored procedures, and SSIS.
Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD tools.
Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
Familiarity with automated testing and deployment tools.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with OpenShift or other cloud deployment platforms.
Knowledge of modern UI frameworks and responsive design.
Understanding of financial products and pricing logic.
Background in Wholesale Lending or financial technology domain.
