Role Overview:
As a Senior Developer at Barclays, you will lead the development of scalable and secure digital applications.
You will collaborate with product teams, architects, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
You will use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand business needs and translate them into effective technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop applications using .Net Core, ASP.Net, and the latest .Net frameworks.
Develop and maintain WCF-based services for enterprise-grade integration.
Contribute to Agile delivery processes including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and support automated deployment processes.
Engage in stakeholder collaboration to define solution approaches and implementation strategies.
Conduct peer code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Keep current with emerging technologies and advocate for their adoption when appropriate.
Technical Requirements:
Proficient in .Net Core, ASP.Net, and the latest .Net frameworks.
Strong experience with WCF service development and integration.
Hands-on experience in designing scalable enterprise applications.
Strong understanding of software development principles and object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Experience working with Agile methodologies and development tools.
Knowledge of CI/CD practices and pipeline tools.
Good understanding of DevOps culture and secure software development practices.
Preferred Skills:
Effective stakeholder management and communication abilities.
Familiarity with Agile project management tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
Exposure to cloud platforms or container technologies is a plus.
Knowledge of enterprise security and compliance protocols.
