As a Sr Front End Developer at Barclays, you will lead the development and enhancement of user-facing applications, focusing on performance, accessibility, and usability. This role demands strong technical skills in modern front-end frameworks, enterprise-grade UI/UX practices, and the ability to deliver in a fast-paced financial domain.
Develop high-performance, scalable, and responsive web applications using React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Collaborate closely with UX/UI teams to design seamless user interfaces and experiences aligned with business objectives.
Create and maintain technical documentation and architectural diagrams for frontend systems.
Participate in peer code reviews and promote front-end best practices, design patterns, and performance optimization.
Drive CI/CD practices using GitLab/Jenkins and containerization with Docker or OpenShift/Kubernetes.
Ensure secure, testable, and well-documented code following modern authentication and security protocols.
6–10 years of experience in front-end development using React and JavaScript with a strong grasp of UI/UX principles.
Experience in Agile delivery, enterprise financial domains (preferably investment banking or capital markets), and hands-on involvement in architecting scalable frontend solutions.

CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab), Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift
Version control (Git), Agile methodologies
Authentication & Authorization frameworks
Strong debugging and performance tuning skills

Investment Banking domain knowledge (OTC Derivatives, Prime Brokerage)
